Go to preferences, extensions, and check/enable the Extension Icon
Epic Encrypted Proxy. Restarting may help.

This is odd.  You should be safe if you downloaded it from epicbrowser.com -- but just to be sure, please can you email me alok at hiddenreflex do t co m a screenshot?  I don't see anything on mouse-over.  Where do you see that?  If you go to the preferences page and select at the bottom "reset Epic", it should delete and re-install extensions.
